PE03 – MIGRANTS – PROVINCE OF HUNGARY UNG June 29,2010
Which works (houses) in your province are involved in the migrant/refugee ministry?
DON BOSCO, KAZINCBARCIKA is involved in the gypsy ministry.
If they are considered as migrants, then, we have this mission that cater to them.
Otherwise, there is no community involved in this ministry.
Where are the migrant/refugees present in your settings? (parish, school, vocational training, refugee center, hostel, chaplaincy, Oratory – Youth centers …)
As I said, if we are talking of the gypsies, then they are present in our school, in our hostels, in our youth centres, vocational training school.
Who are the destinataries? (youth, families, groups…)
The youth and the families are the beneficiaries.
Where are the migrants (or majority of them) from? Ex: country, ethnic group..
All of them are gypsies.
How many confreres are involved in this ministry (local level, provincial level..)?
In this ministry, three are directly involved.
Special needs, suggestions, open questions regarding the migrant ministry?
The work among / for the youth should be very strongly related to family apostolate.
Otherwise, the work we do with the youth will not much effect.
It is important to make the whole province conscious of this phenomenon and get involved in it.
At the different stages of formation, sufficient exposure and formation should be given to the young clerics to work among such youth / groups.
It would be a dream come true if we can also identify and encourage vocations from such groups.
Thanks.
