4465(IV)_3rd BulaBosco in Suva
An overhelming family joy experience
August 13, 2017
Suva, Fiji Islands, 12 August 2017 -- Today the 12 of of August is the third time we had this great event, BulaBosco where we share with the young people of Fiji the spirit of our Founder St John Bosco. Since the DB200 in 2015 also in Fiji we have started the Salesian Youth Day = BulaBosco.
We started of with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist lead by Fr Jim Hoe, our Novice Director. Followed by games, lunch and then concludes with entertainments from different classes of our Sunday school.
More than two hundred young people were present with their parents also involved. We have four different groups which were named after our Salesian saint and blessed: Bl Michael Rua, Bl. Laura Vicuna, Don Bosco and St Dominic Savio.
The theme of this years gathering was taken for the 2017 Strenna of the Rector Major: ‘We are a family’. It is a very deep and meaningful theme which also helps many new young people to feel at home and gain their self-confidence. The joy of this day was really overhelming and the activities and the spirit of the day was fun and joyful.
We give thanks to all Salesians, lay mission partners and animators who contribute to this wonderful Fiji Salesian Family event!
