PHNOM PENH, September 1, 2008 -- The SIGNIS Asia Assembly 2008 (SAA08) will be held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia between 15-21 September 2008 on the theme “Children and the Media”.
The Catholic Social Communication (CSC Cambodia), the main representative organisation of SIGNIS Cambodia, will host the SAA 2008 in union with other communication centers of the Church in the country such as the Don Bosco Social Communication Section of Sihanoukville, Caritas Cambodia Communications Office, Jesuit Communications and others.
From September 15 to 18, the Assembly will include Business & Study Days and will give time for interaction and discussion among members. The program also includes a visit to a local school and the ceremony of the SIGNIS Asia Media Awards.
The second part of the SAA08 will offer to the participants the opportunity to visit the world famous temple of Angkor Wat and to celebrate Sunday mass in a Floating Church-Village.
