A MHC Devotional Guide (FIN)

(National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians) 14
May 2013-- It is timely that in the month of May, a
Marian booklet is available as a devotional resource for
devotees of Don Bosco's Madonna: Mary Help of Christians. This
booklet of about 35 pages was compiled by the rector of the
National Shrine, Fr. Chito Dimaranan, SDB in collaboration
with other Salesians.
Various Marian prayers are found in it. Several pages also
offer a Biblical and historical background of this Marian
devotion, starting from the appeal of Pope Pius V during the
Battle of Lepanto, then to the times of St. John Bosco and how
this devotion reached the Philippines. The editor also
mentions that it is emerging that she is being invoked as
Mother and Protectress of families separated on account of
migration and other reasons.
