5124(II)_Thailand: Seminar for New Teachers in Salesian Schools

Hua Hin, Thailand, 23 June 2019 -- On 21-23 June 2019, the Commission on Salesian Schools in Thailand, under the chairmanship of Fr Smith Daengampan, together with the heads of the various Salesian schools, organized the seminar for new teachers and personnel at the Salesian Retreat House in Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. 52 teachers joined this seminar under the theme "The Preventive System of Don Bosco".
The seminar began on the evening of 21 June 2019 graced by the presence of Fr John Bosco Dheparat Pitisant, the Provincial Superior. To begin with, the Provincial explained the Salesian works around the world. After the evening meal, group activities were organized to help the participants get to know each other.
On 22 June, the teachers listened to a lecture on the 'Preventive System' by Fr Augustine Yarat Chaiyara. All the teachers participated in the various activities with enthusiasm and showed special interest in them.
On 23 June 2019, Mr Poonyawee and Mrs Panita Manosantipap, the representative of the teachers who went to the Philippines to join the formation seminar on Salesian Spirituality, shared their experiences with the new teachers.
The seminar proceeded smoothly according to the indicated goals. This helped the new teachers to understand and adopt the guidelines in the education of the young through the use of the Preventive System in accordance with the charism of St. John Bosco.
