The new unit has formed with the promise of 8 members from different ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds with English as a common language.
The whole day of Salesians, when the whole world is celebrating the feast of Don Bosco, in the evening at 5 PM, the new team of eight new Salesian Cooperators, gathered in the Parish Church of Mary Help of Christians at Tang King Po School, Kowloon and spent an intimate time in personal prayer with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Together with Rev. Fr. Lanfranco FEDRIGOTTI the Provincial, Rev. Fr. Matthew CHAN Hung-Kee, the Salesian Cooperators Provincial Delegate, Ms.Teresa LAM Mok-yung the Provincial Coordinator for the Association of Salesian Cooperators and Fr. Bala Kishore MIRIYALA the Delegate - formator the 8 members along with an young boy Jimmy meditated on the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary. After the Rosary gathered in the presence of the Relic of Don Bosco.
Some personal sharing of the newly promised Salesian Cooperators.
John: Dear all, even though I have been raised in Catholic family, education and culture my past view over life is mostly influenced by natural things worldly pleasures and human attractions. But after joining this Da Mihi Animas Group and while doing my initial formation in preparation for the promise, started experiencing heavenly grace and peace in my life, and a spiritual guidance to be away from the earthly pleasures and move towards the heavenly graces stored for us. This gracious day of my Promise to be with Don Bosco is a gracefilled moment. May Mamma Margaret, our Role model to join in the mission of Don Bosco and our Blessed mother and St. Joseph help me to be faithful to my promise.
Anna: I am filled with wonder....is it miracle or not? After I made the Promise in front of the relics of Don Bosco, the pain, the sickness of the left side of my body dissolved... Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Jennifer: “Father to do your will gives me inspiration” I believe in giving freely loving- kindness without seeking in return.
Lourdes: I am truly honored and grateful to be a part of this wonderful mission for the youth. "Speak Lord, your servant is listening..."
Larry: My purpose became clear. To continue and actively participate in the mission that St. John Bosco started, that is to enlighten the youth about the love, mercy and compassion of God.
