How to Whisper the Gospel in Cambodia?

Phnom Penh, Cambodia, 28 October 2018 -- Mons. Enrique (Kike) Figerado, SJ - the Apostolic Prefect of Battambang was invited to guide our Cambodia Delegation joint quartely recollection. His sharing touched our hearts especially through the missionary passion of the Jesuit bishop, a good friend of the Salesians from his early days in Cambodia.

Since Bishop Kike is also a good photographer, his 28 slides of the meditation help us to place the evangelization within the Cambodia culture, Church and society. Gospel-like simplicity of his presentation offered us a strong inspiration to 'Whisper the Gospel' as we are invited also during the Salesian Mission Day 2018.

'Don Bosco is very famous in Cambodia. Don Bosco is very attractive and maybe even more famous than the Catholic Church in Cambodia' - this statement of Bishop Kike was concluded with a challenge: 'If you are able to attract to Don Bosco, try your best how to attract also to Jesus Christ!'

Our Delegation is happy to welcome in few weeks time the EAO missionary animation delegates from all 12 provinces for their annual meeting in Sihanoukville.
