5503(III)_Rector Major's passionate invitation to Valdocco

Valdocco, Turin, 7 November 2020 -- One month after the official opening of the 'Casa Don Bosco' in the first week of October 2020, the successor of Don Bosco invites all SDB confreres and all members of the Salesian Family to this Valdocco journey in his passionate video invitation (Dear Confreres) : "I invite you to this journey with Don Bosco to Valdocco... Don Bosco is waiting for us to make an interior journey to the heart of our Salesianity and of our Salesian spirituality. It's here, my dear confreres, where Don Bosco awaits us. Dear Salesians and my dearest Salesian family, dear brothers and sisters, where Don Bosco awaits you."
During the 15-minute walk around the 'Casa Don Bosco' Museum and ending in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, the Rector Major guides you with brief comments. Walking from one room to another, he points out the charismatically most important items - like the letter from Rome, tabernacle door from St Francis de Sales Church, the Salesian missionary register with names of all who have been sent from Valdocco since 1875 until last year etc.
