5307(IV)Don Bosco's Feast day in Pakistan
February 01, 2020
Don Bosco Lahore, Pakistan, 30 January 2020 -- The communities of Lahore and Quetta have gathered together to celebrate the Salesian presence in Pakistan. Br. Noble, Br. Samuel, Br. Gabriel and Bro. Faraz began the celebration on the afternoon of 29 January, dedicated to recollection time. The topic of the reflection was the new Rector's manual, then much time for worship and finally the Eucharist with the more than 150 hostel boys from the boarding school.
On 30 January, in the afternoon, Don Bosco was solemnly celebrated in the presence of His Excellency the Apostolic Nuncio of Pakistan as well as the Archbishop of Lahore, the Episcopal Vicar, the Rector of the Diocesan Seminary, and numerous priests, religious sisters and brothers; as well as the group of Salesian Co-operators and alumni, staff, friends and collaborators.
Undoubtedly the center of our celebration were our young people, who prepared a beautiful cultural, artistic and musical program.
This has been a special day in which Don Bosco has been honored in these lands where the Christian faith despite poverty and rejection is still alive. Don Bosco is still alive and continues to educate good Christians and honest citizens.
