Boscolink hits 1 million of view (since Feb 2015)
August 18, 2018
EAO, 17 August 2018 -- When we celebrated the 203rd Birthday of Don Bosco two days ago, on the same day, by coincidence, the EAO Boscolink (www.bosco.link) website his one million (1.000.000) views. Since February 2015, when this precious tool of EAO Salesian Family connection, sharing, news and resources was relaunched. About 1400 Salesian family members are reached by the AustraLasia news via email or facebook, but not all of them know, that just one more click brings them to the Boscolink website.
We know, that in the global Salesian village each infromation also does shape and form our mindet, our vision and our values. Through a casual talk at the table in one international formation house two practical trainees asked 'What kind of (strange) animal is this Boscolink? Indeed there is a long way due to many obstacles (English, internet connectivity, baisc knowledge) to reach out to all Salesians SDB of our 12 provinces or even to the 15 groups of Salesian family present in our Region (SDB, FMA, ASC, DB Alumni, MHC Alumni, VDB, CDB, ADMA, Caritas Sister of Jesus, SQM, DQM, SIHM, SAL, Michaelites and Damas Salesianas). Even many confreres don't know the difference between AustraLasia news (daily sent and shared also through the social media) and the BOSCOLINK website.
Thanks to the slowly growing awareness, the RESOURCE part of the Boscolink: Formation, Youth Ministry, Social Communication, Missions, Salesian Family and Economy) together with the basic Salesian Saints or other materials does serve already a large community.
Thanks to the connection of all 12 EAO provincial website and few delegation website (link), also the mutual knowledge is fostered.
Daily news are sent from the Boscolink administrator and AustraLasia editor (eao@bosco.link) all EAO Salesian family members.
Yes, communication means formation and also charismatic growth. Give a hand to spreading the voice about Boscolink for the benefit of the large Don Bosco Family. Indeed also the Salesian Family Idendity Charter (art.10) states: "The relatively short history of the Salesian Family demonstrates that without real communion there is the danger of a progressive impoverishment of the project of Don Bosco even to the extent of being unfaithful to it. The recognition that without the others the members of a particular Group cannot be themselves, leads to an awareness cultivated by all, inspiring appropriate expressions and practical attitudes."
