4339(I)_"Need a Dream to Reach Out"
The Message of Father Vaclav Klement for Students Of Don Bosco Ky Anh
March 31, 2017
Ky Anh, Vietnam, 31 March 2017 -- From March 24 to March 28, in the Extraordinary Visitation of Don Bosco Ky Anh Viêt Nam, Fr. Vaclav Klement had many opportunities to speak to 220 boarding students through good talks, homilies, or short questions on the playground. He shared a great deal about his family and life, from the age of the students that he was interacting with at school. At the same time, he also mentioned Vocational Technical Center of Salesian in other parts of the world, where there are many shortages. He also hopes among the students in Ky Anh will have volunteers to work there.
Sharing many things but in the end, the main point and the greatest message to those students is how each students can discover the dream that God wants in them, as well as they themself have to have a dream to strive in their life.
On different occasions, he asked quite a few students the same question, "What is your life dream ?" His question is the same as the challenge that the Salesians here are facing. He affirmed the life without motivation which some students encountering is the result of living without dreams to strive to reach out.
One of the ways to help students realize the will of God in their lives is to make them aware of the gifts God has given them. Therefore Fr. Klement invited the students to write at least 30 gifts that God has given them. This small activity was met with enthusiasm by the students and he responded with gifts to the students through the director of the community.
Certainly, in a few short days, Fr. Klement's minds have not yet prompted the germ of dreams in the depths of their hearts. But under God's boundless providence and love, it is hoped that the anxiety and rage of the Superior and the Salesians will transform their hearts and then from there God's dream is to have soil to produce seeds.
