4678(I)_Giving up all for Jesus and for the Young
Two Perpetual Professions in Tokyo
March 24, 2018
Tokyo, Japan, 24 March 2018 -- On March 19, during the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr Mario Yamanouchi (Provincial of Japan), the Salesians Cl. Gabriel Yakushiji and Brother Joseph Takeshita made their perpetual professions in Chofu House of Formation in Tokyo.
Two young Salesians head from Kyushu: Cl. Yakushiji was born in Oita Prefecture in 1988 (Usuki Parish), and Br. Takeshita was born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1989 (Miyakonojo Parish). Both are fruits of Yokkaichi Junior Aspirantate. In the future, Cl. Yakushi-i will continue his theological studies and Br. Takeshita will start his Specific formation course for Salesian Brothers in Paranaque, Blessed Sandor community (FIN).
The perpetual profession of one 'Cleric' and one Salesian Brother express the one Salesian consecrated apostolic vocation in two forms. Both of them pledged: ... "to devote all my strength to those to whom you will send me, especially to the young people who are poorer, to live in the Salesian society in communion of spirit and action with my brothers... I make the vow for ever to live obedient, poor and chaste according to the way of the Gospel set out in the Salesian Constitutions..."
On this occasion was also released the regular monthly video message of Japan province with the presentation of two perpetually professed Salesians and of the 2018 Novice Joji Arakawa, available on Youtube.
We are grateful for your prayers for these three young Salesians!
