5731_Pacific Regional Seminary (PRS) Graduation 2021
Fiji Islands, 20 November 2021 – On Wednesday 17 November 2021, The Pacific Regional Seminary celebrated the end of the academic year 2021 and awarded diplomas and bachelors degrees to graduates. Among the graduates were two of our brothers - Deacon Antonio Lealea was awarded the Bachelor of Divinity, and Cl. Afia Enosa was awarded the diploma of theology at the completion of his studies in philosophy and introductory theology courses. Congratulations brothers!!!
Approximately 200 people participated face to face, and a number in Livestream in the celebration including faculty, staff, and students from the Pacific Regional Seminary, and the benefactors of the seminary, family, and friends of the graduates.
The celebration began with the Eucharist. Peter Loy Chong, the Archbishop of Suva, was the main celebrant. In the homily, Archbishop Peter gave a challenging message to the attendees, especially the graduates. He said, “Be a mystic or you will be nothing at all.” It means to live beyond reason the “spiritual sphere.” The celebration was followed by a ceremony of conferring the degrees, and “Sevusevu”, a ceremony of congratulation to the graduates in accordance with the Fiji Islands culture.
With a heart of gratitude, the graduates expressed their gratitude from the bottom of their hearts to their families, faculty, friends, benefactors, and all those who accompanied their journey.
Once again, congratulations to our brothers and we pray for them so that they will always be as enthusiastic in serving young people as Don Bosco wants them to be.
