Tokyo, Japan, 14 April 2021 -- A simple life, a sincere way of life, that is Salesian Brother Francis Masahiro Sasaki!

Brother Francis Masahiro Sasaki, SDB was born in Kobe in 1937. He made his first religious vows in 1959. As a consecrated Salesian Brother he lived for past 62 years, and contributed in Japan to the education of many young people in the way of Don Bosco. He passed away in the beautiful spring season in Japan.

We admired his loving kindness, simple way of life and especially his sincere Salesian heart. He loved very much baseball, and when he talked about baseball, he became very lively and his story-telling doesn't end. However, he was a Salesian who cherishes time and keeps time. He was like a living bell at the Mass, at the community meals and community prayers. Br Francis was welcome to the Salesian garden in heaven on 7 April 2021 and his funeral was celebrated in a family manner in his community of Salesio Gakuin, Savio Pavillon - Yokohama, Japan.

We give thanks to Brother Sasaki for showing us an exemplary Salesian consecrated way of life as Salesian Brother.
