5749(II)_Caritas Sisters, Japan, welcome 3 new novices
Caritas Provincial House, Suginami, Tokyp, Japan, 20 December 2021 -- On a traditional date, 8 December, the Japan province of the Caritas Sisters of Jesus welcomed their 3 new novices. In the context of Japan's Catholic Church with scarse, this is a true blessing. In the Eucharist celebrated by Fr. Giovanni Marsiglio, SDB, three young women were accepted into the 2 year novitiate journey in the Suginami formation house.
Through the well updated social media, the Japan province is trying its best to get closer to the younger generation, including through their YouTube program 'Cariko Station'. Young generations are calling the young! And on the world-wide Caritas of Jesus Congregation Facebook pages you can see their mission in all five continents: from Japan and Korea, through Papua New Guinea, South Sudan to Latin American countries.
It is also remarkable that not all 3 Caritas novices come from Japan, but are fruits of the Sisters' mission in South East Asia. At the moment the other novitiates of the Caritas Sisters Congregation are located in Uganda, South Korea, Japan and Latin America.
