5739(III)_6th President of Cambodia DBPP National Federation installed
Phnom Penh, 28 November 2021 -- The Past Pupils of Don Bosco Association Cambodia's leadership gathered in the presence of their Delegate, Fr Roel Soto (SDB Delegate for Cambodia and Director of the Don Bosco Foundation in Cambodia) as well with Fr John Visser, their 'Godfather', on 28 November 2021. This event witnessed the transferring of presidency from its 5th to 6th leadership team generation.
In this event, limited by the Covid outbreak restriction, there were about 30 Past Pupils, Fr Roel, Fr John, former school directors, a former teacher of Don Bosco school from Thailand Mr. Chatchawan and also the Past pupils board of the Phnom Penh center.
A report shared during this event acknowledged the progress of the 5th generation Past Pupils achievements and the assembly hoped that mission of the 6th generation Past Pupils will continue to build this path to follow new goals over the next two years.
The new president has begun his service effective from this time onwards. Fr Roel and Fr John both gave a short address to the new President and Past Pupils wishing them a fruitful mission in helping more Cambodian youth on their life's journey so that more young people in Cambodia will be able to help themselves and their families too in the near future.
As of now, there are more than 25,000 young people who have received a Don Bosco education since 1991 in some 7 Don Bosco schools and education centers around the country.
