New mission animation tool for North Philippines Province

MANILA: 26th April 2007 -- The Salesian Mission Animation Team for FIN, based at St John Bosco Parish Makati City, has recently announced a new animation tool called Auxiliaries of the Mission, a monthly newsletter which the team hopes will serve as a link amongst communities of the northern province and especially amongst Salesian mission territories with special reference to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, East Timor and the like. The aim is to keep in touch and inform members of the province and beyond of the progress made in projects and missionary works undertaken by the province.
    The first edition features the unrest in East Timor and the response of the Salesian community to the internal refugee crisis. It also contains a brief note from the Missions animation delegate, Fr  Salvador Pablo, an article on mission in prisons and the matter of youth in conflict with the law, and finally, an excerpt from Benedict XVI's Sacramentum Caritatis on the Eucharist and Mission.
