Fr
Peter Zago, SDB writes from
Pakistan and tells about their
activities that celebrate, in
their own way, what the other
Salesian settings around the
world are doing.
They too recall Don Bosco and
the way he involved everybody in
this movement of caring for the
youth especially those who are
poor and marginalized. At present he is alone in the community because the other confreres are on vacation leave. The School activities are going on with the help of our lay collaborators. Having the welfare of the young people at heart, the technical training goes on despite the street protests, while everyone prays for more stability in Pakistan's socio-political atmosphere which is a bit tense now. To celebrate the start of the Bicentennial, they had a one-week seminar on the life of Don Bosco and the preventive system. The pictures above, show some of the sessions with the technical staff of the school, with Fr Peter Zago himself giving some of the inputs. It was one way to make our collaborators be more familiar with the person -born 199 years ago- who started this movement of reaching out for the holistic formation of the needy young. |
