4211(III)_Salesian Family secretariat at the Feast of 117 Saint Vietnamese Martyrs
November 23, 2016
Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam, 23 November -- After 5 days long stay in the VIE (Vietnam-Mongolia) province the four members of the Secretariat for the Salesian Family headed by Fr. Eusebio celebrated their last supper on the eve of the great Solemnity of 117 Saint Vietnamese Martyrs, St Andrew Dung Lac and companions.
Coming down from the paradise-like fresh air of the highlands in K'Long retreat house, the last leg of their visit ended in the suburb of Ho Chi Min City, Xuan Hiep - seat of the VIE provincial house. After an evening prayer with the members of the provincial community (Patron - Saint Martyrs of Vietnam) about 50 confreres from Xuan Hiep, the full provincial council and other rectors from Ho Chi Min communities gathered for a fraternal farewell dinner (very special meat was also on the menu!) and thanksgiving. The venue was the Rinaldi formation community (specific formation for brothers and priests, Rector Fr Barnaba Phong).
In a fraternal environment the members of the Salesian Family secretariat were able to meet many of their old friends - formators and professors of the theologate. On the 24th November the SF Secretariat members together with Mrs Noemi continue their pilgrimage in the EAO region towards the third formation session in Cebu, FIS province.
St. Andrew Tran An Dung Lac and companions, pray for us!
