Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 30 March 2017 -- All the missionaries working at present in Mongolia had the second part of the re-reading, reflection and evaluation of the GC 27 on the local context of Mongolia, in Ulaanbaatar, on March 31. The moderator of the Mini-chapter Fr. Carlo Maria Savio Villegas, SDB continued to enhance the members of the chapter. The members who participated in the chapter are; Fr. In the previous chapter held in the month of February the group discussed in detail about 'Living the Primacy of God by contemplating what happens each day and by following Christ' and ‘Building up authentic communities through relationships and work accordance with Family (fraternal) Spirit'.
In the recent chapter, the group had a discussion in detail about ‘putting ourselves more decisively and significantly at the Service of the poorest of the young' following guidelines of the third part of the GC 27. The group evaluated the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) of the Mongolian mission) specifying the present context or situation. Then, it came out with commitments which would help the mission to fulfill its dream.
The group realized that there should be a systematic youth ministry applying in the present context which seems to be rather difficult. Re-reading the context which is rather complex in the mission, the Mongolian delegation came out with the commitment to survey, analyzed and to do inventories of the youth problems and find the solutions. To provide, Value based education, and training, reinvent the works in keeping with the Holy Spirit's direction of the sign of the times on behalf of "new poor", to form the conscience of the young which is oriented for the common good and stewardship. To use the facilities and activities which not only promotes Ecological wellbeing and but defends against irresponsibility. To develop a youth formation center that offers services to train animators, group leaders and family leaders for value formation, to form catholic youths to be value-rich and responsible.
At the end of the meeting there was a general voting of the guidelines (various points) discussed in the session.
