Personal Project of Life?

March 22, 2018

By Our Own Correspondent

EAO, 22 March 2018 -- Already in his letter for the first World Youth Day in 1986, Saint Pope John Paul II asked all the young people to make their own personal project of life, in order to grow well as disciples and missionaries of Jesus. It's a good reminder for us, who are called to be educators of the young people today.

"Who is your Cafasso (=spiritual guide) and Where is your Personal project of life?" These are the two crucial questions for the healthy faith and vocation growth of every Salesian Family member, Salesian Youth Movement or Oratory animators! These are also the fundamental questions during the personal dialogue of each Salesian visitation.

Many different ways how to project your life with Jesus: few words or one full page; five-six bullet style resolutions or 4 basic formation dimension goals; based on your personal motto or life vision-mission. Does not matter what is the style. What does matter is how often do you take in your hands, in your prayer or during the friendly chat with your rector of friend. Important is to walk through the life with a clear direction.

Do you have not yet any personal project of life? Or did you skip it before ordination, or already after the novitiate? On the Boscolink you can find a variety of models, examples from many EAO provinces, from the prenovice to the provincial.
