4715(IV)_Another Year of God’s Grace and Mercy
Renewal of Religious Profession of the nine young Salesians
May 3, 2018
Canlubang, the Philippines, 1 May 2018 -- The nine youngest Salesians, by far, of both the north (FIN) and south (FIS-PAK) made their renewal of Religious Profession on the evening of the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. They are Cl. Levi Arao, SDB (FIN), Cl. Erwynn Encarguez, SDB (FIS), Cl. Jonas Paulo Lacson, SDB (FIN), Cl. Faraz Darshan Masih (FIS-PAK), Cl. Alfons Jayzar Panganiban, SDB (FIN), Cl. John Paolo Romero, SDB (FIN), Cl. Ersan Jacob Rosete, SDB (FIS), Cl. Mark Soriano, SDB (FIN) and Br. Romnick Tabaquero, SDB (FIN).
It was held in the chapel of the Don Bosco Sacred Heart Postnovitiate in Canlubang, Laguna during the evening prayer. Fr. Gerardo Martin, SDB, the councillor of the commission on formation of the FIN province was delegated by the provincial to receive the vows. Fr. Charles Manlangit, SDB, the rector of the Postnovitiate and Fr. Eli Cruz, SDB, the vice-rector and catechist, served as the witnesses of this momentous event.
These nine Salesians renewed not only their commitments to the Lord to live an obedient, poor and chaste life, but also their reliving of their novitiate motto, “For it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me.” May they continue to be living presences of Jesus, the Consecrated One par excellence (VC 9), especially in this year of the clergy and religious. This event was truly for them a sign of God’s immense mercy and grace.
