RMG, 19 February 2021 -- Since last August 2020 we have been enriched and animated by the short video clips produced by the Formation Sector with the help of young Salesians themselves who speak to us in 6 different languages for 3 minutes every month. In this way the Salesian Culture of Accompaniment can grow!

Already 6 short videos are available together with the simple handouts for the group sharing or community dynamics are being sent to all Salesian formation houses around the world. Produced in an attractive way, introduced by 6 young Salesians speaking in their own language (Italian, Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Polish) there is some excellent inspiration for the local community's deeper sharing.

The 6th seed video has been recorded in Valdocco: “GRACE AND FREEDOM: all for love, nothing by force”. “Do all for love, nothing by force” was what St. Francis de Sales suggested to St. Joan Frances de Chantal, and it expresses well what could be defined as the spiritual theological core of the document approved by the Rector Major and his Council within the fourth chapter: “4.6 THE FOUNDATIONAL DYNAMIC OF GRACE AND FREEDOM”.

The 3-minute video touches on the main passages of what is found in the text (nos. 119 - 130), strongly reaffirming what is already at the heart of Don Bosco's preventive system. “We are invited to imitate God himself who respects our freedom and is infinitely patient with us. We are invited to a formation that reaches the heart and becomes transforming. We are invited to learn to listen”.

• The interactive PDF OF THE DOCUMENT is always downloadable, while the paper hard copies are gradually reaching the Provincial office of each province.

• It is also possible to download ONLY THE PART OF CHAPTER 4 on which this ‘seed’ dwells (7 pages), which can be printed and used for community study and sharing.

• The downloadable version of the video seed is available both in HIGH RESOLUTION VIDEO and in LOW RESOLUTION VIDEO (sharable through social media)

• There is a POWER POINT illustrating a bit more extensively the message of the video, and giving in writing the question Kenneth proposed at the end, which may prompt group and community sharing among the members of the formation communities (main aim of this dissemination process!). The same content of the power point is available in PDF.

• There is a GOOGLE DOC OPEN FORUM, with the same questions proposed in the video, which can be access by everyone throughout Regions and Provincials, prompting transversal intercultural and interlanguages sharing.
