4382(II)_Brotherhood Cup 2017 Champions
May 16, 2017
Melbourne, Australia, 13 May 2017 -- Since 2009, there has been a remarkable event occurring every year: the gathering of the religious and brothers from different houses and seminaries for a soccer tournament called the “Brotherhood Cup.”
Salesian United has been one of the teams participating in this competition regularly together with the Missionaries of God’s Love (MGL), Corpus Christi College (CCC), and Yarra Theological Union (YTU). Following this tradition, this year’s Brotherhood Cup was held on Saturday, May 13th 2017.
Our Salesian United has won the trophy after having been training and waiting for almost eight years since the first win back in 2009! Finally, we achieved it and brought the title back to the Salesian house. This could not have happened without the hard word and the effort of all the lads in the team, supporters from the Salesian communities both at Clifton Hill and Chadstone, and from the Australia Salesian Youth Community (ASYC). Thanks to all of you to made this day happen. Let’s do it again next year!
