Lunching of the new Vision-Mission of the Province

Mandaluyong City, the Philippines, 28 August 2017 -- The Salesians of Don Bosco Philippine-North Province gathered at Don Bosco Technical College, Mandaluyong on August 28, 2017 for their Province Recollection and Fellowship Day.
The event started with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 8:00 am in the Big Chapel with the Bishop Emeritus of San Pablo, His Excellency, Leo Drona, SDB, DD as main celebrant and Rev. Fr. Anthony Paul Bicomong, SDB, FIN Provincial Superior, as homilist.
After taking some snacks, the confreres proceeded to the St. Dominic Savio Auditorium for the launching of the Salesians of Don Bosco FIN Province Vision-Mission Statement. Fr. Gerry Martin, SDB narrated to the confreres the thorough process that the new Vision-Mission of the Province underwent until it reached its final form. Fr. Paul, led the assembly in the recitation of the new Vision-Mission Statement, after which he blessed the confreres.
Fr. Joel Francis Victorino, President of the Directors of Vocations in the Philippines (DVP) gave a conference on vocations entitled: “Youth and the Holy: What is in the Heart of Young People Today.” Fr. Jay David, SDB, Head of FIN Vocation Promotions Team, followed up the insights of Fr. Joel with his own TALKumbinse. A Lectio Divina/small group sharing by communities followed.
The confreres had a hearty lunch at the St. Dominic Savio Quadrangle.
Fellowship games were organized in the afternoon with the blue and yellow teams trying to outdo each other in basketball, football, volleyball, and badminton.
The day ended with Salesian confreres refreshed and renewed in their commitment to belong more to God, to their fellow Salesians, and to the poor youth to whom God sends them.
