Paranaque City, the Philippines, 8 February 2020 -- Around 350 members of the Salesian Family converged on the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Paranaque City for the Salesian Family Fellowship Day, 8 February 2020.
The day began with the Holy Mass celebrated by the FIN Provincial Superior, Fr. Gerry Martin, SDB. Morning snacks, as well as the AMAZING RACE/GRACE instructions and orientation followed at the covered court.
Players were then instructed to join their respective teams. There were 13 teams formed, and these teams were sorted by age during the registration. This ensured that all the teams were composed of the different representatives from the different organizations of the Salesian Family. This would be an opportunity for everyone to meet and mix with others outside of their own organizations.
There were 13 challenges to be completed. Each challenge, once completed, would reward the teams with a “word” printed on a piece of paper. Upon completion of all the challenges, they were to return to the covered court, and arrange the words in order, to form a quote from Don Bosco. The first team to be able to complete the quote, wins. Lunch followed afterwards, and raffle prizes were distributed to all the winning participants.
Special thanks go to the Salesian Family Paranaque District who hosted the event, and organized the games and to all those who generously contributed in kind and in cash.
