FIS rejoices in final professions

MANILA: 22 March 2009 -- On the Solemnity of St Joseph, 19th March, FIS province rejoiced at the Perpetual Profession of two students for the priesthood, Bros Arvin Abatayo and Allen George Elevado.  The profession ceremony took place at the Seminaryo ng Don Bosco chapel in Manila. Fr Julius Sanchez, provincial of FIS, presided at the Mass and accepted the religious profession of the two.
    The celebration was rather intimate and low key, there being no other guests except the confreres. Confreres from the Postnovitiate in Canlubang, along with their Rector Fr Rey Dela Cruz, also joined in the celebrations. Some of the staff from Rinaldi Community also concelebrated, along with Fr Eli Cruz, Province from Negros. Both islands form part of the Visayas island group. Arvin entered the aspirantate in Don Bosco Missionary Seminary in Lawaan when he was in first year high school. George graduated from Don Bosco Victorias then joined the Don Bosco Formation Centre in Boys Town when he was in first year at College.
    A fitting way to honour one of the Patrons of our Congregation.
