A blogging regional!

ROME: 9th October 2008 --  Given that we have, over the past month or so, highlighted the growing number of Salesian blogs (and sdb.org is working on the possibility of offering an internal, i.e. behind a protected area, possibility for such in due course), there are two items of interest that have recently come to light.
    One is a blogging regional - no, not Fr Andy Wong, who at times finds himself in places and circumstances where it would be neither physically possible or politically wise - but Fr José Miguel Nuñez, the Regional Councillor for Europe West Region.  It is probably the first blog of the kind, so the fact is interesting.  The other item noted, came across it accidentally in fact, is the effort by a Filipino Salesian to link blogs run by members of the Salesian Family - the Salesian family in the blogosphere, he calls it.
    As for the former item, to be found at http://josemiguelsdb.blogspot.com/ it is, understandably, in Spanish, but that will not prevent the reader from getting a very good idea of the contents.  Its title is the familiar 'Word in the ear' and the Salesian reference is made even clearer by the images, obviously. It is a one-way reflective blog, as many indeed are. There is an interesting link if you scroll to the bottom - http://www.quierosersanto.com - again the Salesian reference being reasonably obvious (I'd like to become a Saint).  Nice music!  So congrats to the blogging regional. The mind boggles.
    And the Salesian Family in the Blogosphere? Well, clearly family members have to find out about it and add blogs.  I tried to add one of the blogs referred to recently in these pages, but so far the effort does not appear to be successful.  But the initiative is a good one.
