The resources keep coming! Youth Ministry the
latest
ROME: 28 July 2005 -- The website for the EAO Region
has added further resources on the Salesian Brother with next year's
Seminar in mind. There's every chance this Seminar will take
place in Cambodia in August of next year, but all that is yet to be
confirmed after various discussions have taken place. There are
additional responses to the questionnaire sent around the region, and
some additional documents available on Bosconet.
A completely new section has been added in reference
to Youth Ministry. Next year will also see a meeting of
Provincials and Youth Ministry Delegates, the last of which was held in
Lysterfiled, Melbourne, in 2003. There is now abundant material
stemming from that meeting, but with the addition of YM models and
practices from other parts of the region. Obviously this will be
added to, but there is already plenty there to begin with, including a
number of powerpoint presentations. You access all of this from
the home page of www.bosconet.aust.com Go to the respective sector on
the right-hand side of the page and click the link.
Youth Ministry is an area where many confreres are
busy at work developing their own local resources - and 'youth
ministry' is an extensive term! It would be wonderful if
individuals could share (1) their stories of initiatives and
experiences and (2) any materials they have developed. It is
enough to send the stories or the materials directly to this address
and they will be added to the resources. The stories can be
written up in your own style - we will refashion them for publication
purposes, so you have no need to worry about your English - and you can
write in any of your languages if you wish and leave it to us to find
someone to translate if we don't know the language. But animation
materials will be left in the language of origin. If others wish
to use them, they can have them translated.
