Clothing day, Lectors and Acolytes and blessing of new library

Xuan Hiep, Vietnam, 6 December 2018 -- On the feast day of Blessed Philip Rinaldi, a new library has been blessed by Fr Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, SDB, the Provincial of Vietnam-Mongolia Province. It has taken six months to build and is now ready to serve the Salesian theologians as well as those who need to deepen their Salesian and theological knowledge. A new hall nearby has also been built to hold various seminars or meetings in order to enrich and update different subjects of the theology program. Both library and hall are dedicated to God and their patron is Blessed Philip Rinaldi.

At 10:00 a.m., Father Provincial presided at the Mass at Xuan Hiep church. In his homily, he invited everyone, especially the Salesians, to imitate Blessed Philip Rinaldi in his fidelity to Don Bosco, to be authentic Salesians, and to fulfill their educative mission.

There were four Salesians who received their clerical clothing (cassock, soutane). Four become lectors and five acolytes. They are all invited to follow Christ more closely, and to be witnesses through their duties.
