3698(III)_Priestly Ordination in the bicentenary of the birth of Don Bosco

Thu Duc, Viet Nam - On Friday morning August 07.2015, priestly ordination for ten salesian new priests was held solemnly by the Salesian province in Viet Nam at Tam Hai parish, a salesian parish of Thu Duc deanery, Saigon archdiocese.
The Bishop of Phu Cuong diocese, most reverend Joseph Nguyen Tan Tuoc, presided the ordination mass with 120 concelebrants of salesian and diocesan priests. Present at the mass were Fr. Joseph Nguyen Van Quang, Provincial of the Viet Nam province, Fr. Joseph Vu Minh Nghiep, Episcopal representative in charge of diocesan priests, Superiors of some pontifical and local congregations, SDB, FMA, and members of Salesian family. Besides, there were also parents, relatives, friends of new priests, and the faithfuls of some parishes. The total number is about 1500.
Before the mass was the procession of the ordinands, their parents, the Bishop and the concelebrants from the area of the parish house to the church. With some opening words to the congregation, Mons. Joseph Nguyen Tan Tuoc asked the whole congregation to thank God for the grace of ten new salesian priests in the bicentenary of Don Bosco’s birth. He said this was a grace not only for the Salesian Congregation, but also for whole Church, and he asked everyone present to pray for them to be the real good shepherds to the model of Jesus Christ.
