HAPPY CHRISTMAS - PREPARE FOR 3 NEW BLESSEDS -
YOUR PERSONAL LIFE PLAN
ROME: 20th December -- Perhaps I should add
to the title 'Happy Birthday' since it's the Rector Major's birthday
today. 'austraLasia' 776 is full of goodies: in the first place a
Christmas greeting to all readers, and thanks for the many greetings that have
come in, either in writing or electronically. Then today, more good news -
at the Vatican thismorning the Decree was read concerning three new Salesian
'Beati'-to-be: Prince August Czartoryski, Sr. Eusebia Palomino and
Alexandrina da Costa. The date of beatification for the three has yet to
be set - in the first instance it requires three separate councils to meet: SDB
for the first named, FMA for the second and Cooperaotrs for the third.
This will be a test of Family unity! Once they decide on a possible date
they approach the Vatican with an offer of the date - then the Vatican
decides.
And finally - a little Christmas gift. As a
help towards the Personal Plan of Life asked for by GC25 and being assiduously
followed up in provinces, why not go to a new Powerpoint Presentation prepared
by Fr. Michael Court (AUL) and given recently to Rectors and priest in charge in
that Province. You will find it at www.bosconet.aust.com - just look under
'Happy Christmas'! If you wanted to look at a good accompanying
