One Vietnamese missionary ordained deacon in Venezuela

Caracas, Venezuela, 7 October 2017 -- Three Salesians of Don Bosco - Cl Jose Rafael Guarique, Cl. Victor Mendoza, and Cl. Joseph Phan Ahn Tuan, a Vietnamese missionary, were ordained deacons.
The Eucharistic celebration took place in the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians by the laying of hands of Msgr. Raul Biord Castillo, SDB, bishop of the diocese of La Guaira, and in the presence of other two Salesian bishops Mgr. Enrique Parravano and Msgr. José Ángel Divasson, members of the SDB Provincial Council of the Salesians of Venezuela, and a large group of Salesians and Young people from various centers around Venezuela.
Deacon Joseph Tuan was sent by the Rector Major in 2011 with other seven young Vietnamese missionaries as the member of 142th Salesian missionary expedition. His missionary batchmates are living and witnessing to the Gospel in Bangladesh, Argentina, Paraguay, England and Ireland.
At present Deacon Joseph is studying theology in Caracas, Venezuela and invites all to pray for his daily growth with the heart of Good Shepherd.
