Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 14 June 2016 -- Fr. Carlo Maria Savio De Ocampo Villegas, SDB the pioneer of the Mongolian mission returned back to Mongolia after obtaining Summa cum Laude in Salesian spirituality last April in Rome (UPS). “The Value and Significance of Friendship with God/Jesus in some of the writings of Saint John Bosco” was his thesis which he presented and defended. He is the first Salesian missionary of Mongolia who has obtained such a title. The delegate of Mongolia is proud of him.
Fr. Carlo was a member of the first missionary expedition to Mongolia (arrived in February 2001 with Fr. Luciano Odorico). Later on he was the first Rector of Ulaanbaatar community, Delegate of the Mongolia Delegation (2010-2013) and for few years also the Vicar of the Apostolic Prefect of Ulaanbaatar, Mons. Wenceslaus Padilla, CICM.
The delegate of Mongolia welcomes him with great joy and gratitude.
Soon he will be assigned in Mary Help of Christian Parish in Darkhan the second biggest city of Mongolia. We wish him success and perseverance in his new assignment.
