Tokyo, Japan, 16 January 2016 - At the end of one week long visit to Japan, the outgoing rector of Tetere community in Solomon Islands, Fr. Joseph Thanh (6 years rector in Parish-RTC Tetere). His community was started in 1995 by the Japan province and until now the DBVG members are coming with never ending passion and constancy to Tetere every summer vacation.
During the monthly DBVG meeting in Chofu Parish of St. John Bosco (Jan 16th - Saturday) the young volunteers express their gratitude to Fr. Joseph who did welcome and accommodate them during past 6 years.
They organized also a special 'Thank You Party' with some special dishes like Vietnamese noodles to express their heart: 'Thank you father!' The gratitude to Fr. Joseph was joined with the January birthday celebrants of the DBVG group members, words of encouragement and true joyful and family spirit time.
The period of assignment of Fr. Joseph in Solomon islands mission is over, he is looking forward to his new post in Papua New Guinea. Young volunteers concluded the 'despedida' with pledge of prayer, blessing for his mission in the new place.
