Seoul, Korea, 16 July 2020 -- On 16 July 16 in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, an ice cream shop called "Bosco Gelato" has been opened.
Bosco Gelato sells the highest quality organic Italian style ice cream. The profits from the ice cream shop will be used for the pastoral activity for immigrants in Korea.
The ice cream shop is located on the first floor of the Ha-Neul hospital (which means sky hospital) most famous for Physical medicine & Rehabilitation.
The manager of the ice cream shop is Pyeong-Ahn Mark KIM, a Korean Salesian priest and the manager of the ice cream shop is Ye-seul Mary KIM, a young woman who belongs to SYM.
The hospital could be opened with the help and permission of the hospital president Joseph Cho, Phd.
Prof. Joseph, asking to use the profit of the ice cream shop for immigrants and marginalized young and especially for the evangelization, gave the place of the shop with no rent.
Bosco Gelato was opened at 10 a.m. on 16 July with Mass and blessing of the shop by Fr Provincial, Won Chol Timothy CHOI and participation of the provincial councils.
The mass was celebrated with the participation of twenty faithful, some FMA and cooperators and with the SYM youth all covered their mouth and nose with a mask for the prevention of covid-19.
I hope that the blessing of the Lord and the intercession of our mother Mary helps the shop to become an important place for the support of pastoral work for immigrants.
