3742(I)_Taipei, Rua Center of the Salesian Cooperators in action
September 18, 2015By Mr. Jimmy Yang, ASC
Taipei, Taiwan - We are very happy to get the AustraLasia news, it's good to have continuous information talking about the encouragement given wherever our fellow Salesian Cooperators stay in the EAO region. We love to see more and more people showing their faithfully kind heart in executing Don Bosco's spirit. That will be contagious, we believe!
Our 'Rua Center' of Taipei would like to share some photos from this Bicentenary Year of Don Bosco.
First - Pilgrimage to Italy
We still cherish our big group of pilgrims last August to Italy to the Holy Places of Don Bosco and respective events and celebrations in Turin with the Salesian Family of China province. The total of ten Cooperators from Taipei including the Archbishop emeritus of Taipei Joseph Ti Kang (Salesian Cooperator) and other 110 members of Salesian Family from Hong Kong and Macau had such a wonderful and dedicated pilgrimage to celebrate 200-year birthday of Don Bosco. This will help every Cooperators on their way to become holy one day - the spirit of so many Holy places and Saints will accompany us for the rest of our life!
Second - Weekend with indigenous youth
And also we like to share our first apostolic initiative of the newly started Rua Center in Taipei.
About 20 people of Rua's Cooperators (including few other volunteers) spent 3 days and 2 nights in the mountain area of central Taiwan to entertain some 50 children and youth from indigenous families.
That was a really unexpected experience to get along with such very naughty kids, spent lot of energy but finally it had a happy ending. Everyone who was involved in this Oratory experience outreach was enriched in his/her way of living the Gospel with the heart of Don Bosco!
