YOUNG SALESIAN KILLED IN COLOMBIA; SALESIAN INJURED IN CONGO

World news (if one can judge by what filters through to Fiji-Samoa as reaching most of the world) carried headlines of the latter but not of the former.  In the latter case it appears that a grenade was tossed in amongst those gathered for a Palm Sunday liturgy in the Congo.  Several were killed.  Amongst those injured was a Salesian priest.

In the former case, a young Salesian cleric was working amongst the street kids, one of whom was high on drugs and was carrying a weapon.  He shot the cleric, fatally wounding him.
