ULAANBAATAR: August 27, 2014
–
After
14 years, Don Bosco Technical
School revised and reset the
Vision Mission Statement. It was
three-day program facilitated by
Bro Andrew SDB the Principal of
the School.
On August 25 on the first day,
around 45 teaching and non
teaching staff gathered together
to reflect the dream of Don
Bosco at the age of nine, which
sets the salesian educative
system. Fr Paul Leung SDB,
missionary from Honkong to
Mongolia, discussed and shared
his reflection about the dream.
He pointed out the ‘mission’
of Don Bosco in that Dream: “The
dream of Don Bosco should be the
dream of every educator,” he
said, "and we strive to make it
a reality in every student that
we meet.”The mission of Don
Bosco is all about being more
available (this is 24-hour
service) to the young, being
more dedicated and committed.
The following day, the group
discussed how to practice Don
Bosco's preventive system in the
school and in their own
families. They tried to figure
out the various problems
existing in their own
localities. And with the help
of the preventive system they
may overcome many of the
problems they reflected.
On the last day they focused on
present working system of the
school; they evaluated, and
summarized the entire three
days’ discussion and came up
with this Vision Mission
statement: We, following the
preventive system of Don
Bosco, create an
atmosphere of advance and
growth, acquiring knowledge
and
skill, respecting and
defending humanity, society
and cultural
heritage and prepare to
be good and authentic
citizens.
