PHNOM PENH, Cambodia: 24 oCTOBER 2005 -- October 24 is an auspicious day for our 70 teachers and past pupils. They have received their Bachelor of Technology Diplomas from no other than Samdech HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia. They were part of the 903 graduates of the National Technical Training Institute (NTTI) of eight batches (2001-2004). It was in 2001 that the institute reopened with 60 students- teachers, of whom 50 were from Don Bosco.  The aim is to train and retrain technical vocational instructors to ensure the educational quality and efficiency of training the labor force for the development of the country.
Today, Don Bosco plays an important role in the new policy directions for reforming TVET in Cambodia. Fr. Leo Ochoa, Director of the Don Bosco Technical School in Phnom Penh has been appointed member of the Sub-committee of the National Board on Quality Assurance since February 2, 2004.
