Thailand uses mid-term 3 week vacation for youth
action
BANGKOK: 17th October 2005 -- Thai schools have begun a
mid-term three week vacation, and the Salesians, who are heavily
committed to schools throughout the Province, are using the vacation as
an opportunity to continue their youth camp programme. This time
it is the Savio camps for junior high students from all the Salesian
schools. In August the same was done for primary level students
and in December it will be the senior students' turn.
Meanwhile, Fr Suksan sdb who is the secretary
general of the Thai Bishops Conference Youth Movement, is currently
conducting a national seminar for youth leadership at Phanom, where he
is based. A large number of youth and youth animators are in
attendance.
