Anvil Award for CodeRED

MANILA: 20th February 2009 -- CodeRED, the magazine on servant-leadership, was awarded the ANVIL Award of Excellence on February 20, 2009, at the ballroom of the EDSA Shangrila Hotel in Mandaluyong City by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, the country's premier organisation of public relations professionals.
    The Anvil Award of Excellence is presented to an outstanding program or public relations tool that decisively surpasses the set standards and shows the synergy of objectives, strategy, execution and impact. In the over 50 years that these citations have been made, more than 1,000 organisations have been awarded Silver Anvils for excellence in public relations.
    CodeRED is published by Fr Armand D. Robleza sdb, delegate for Social Communications in FIN province, with Ms. Carol San Pedro as editor-in-chief.
    CodeRED is an interesting concept. Subtitling itself as 'The Family Magazine on Leadership' it is aimed at both adults and young people. As the editorial section usually described, "There are two rooms in this house. You have just made it to the door of the one for the parents.....turn around or execute a flip [turn the magazine over] and you get to where the young ones hang out. Expect an immediate change in atmosphere here!". The magazine is quarterly.
