3979_Annual Spiritual Retreat

Batangas, Philippines, 23 April 2016 - Today, the third and last batch of confreres for the FIN Province Annual Spiritual Retreat ended. The three groups (April 3-9, April 10-16, and April 17-23) of retreatants were guided by Fr. Jack Finnegan, SDB of the Province of Ireland, a Salesian priest who is a well-known teacher and writer on Spirituality. He is also a lecturer at All Hallows College and associate professor at Milltown Institute, Dublin.
Fr. Jack gave a daily Lectio Divina in the morning. He led the confreres contemplate on the life of Jesus through the Gospel according to St. Mark.
Every afternoon, he gave an hour of conference that focused on the essential things from the documents of the 27th General Chapter which confreres need to deeply reflect and apply in their daily Salesian life.
His daily conferences were considered by the confreres as very good materials for reflections as the Province is preparing for the Provincial Chapter that will take place in the first week of May.
The confreres of the FIN Province are grateful to the Lord for blessing their Annual Spiritual Retreat this year with a Salesian preacher in the person of Fr. Jack Finnegan, SDB.
