4829(I)_Fiji celebrates the 4th Bula Bosco
Salesian Youth Day in Fiji - Bula Bosco 2018
August 25, 2018
Suva, Fiji Islands, 18 August 2018 -- Over 200 young children had celebrated Bula-Bosco at Nasinu in near Suva in Fiji Islands on 18th August. It was an annual celebration in the spirit of St. John Bosco to highlight the importance of children who have many potentials in the future as good Christians and honest citizens. Parents and the youth of St. John Bosco parish supported the event in many different ways.
During the opening Eucharist, Fr James Hoe delivered the homily encouraging all young people to dream higher for a better future in life by journeying with Jesus the living water.
In a true Salesian spirit, the event was filled with many opportunities for children to run, jump, laugh and play.
During the event, Stino Tokona and Kitiana Kaitu’u presented their experience with the Don Bosco camps organized by Salesians some years ago. They challenged all children to utilise the Bula Bosco experience to enrich their lives and to empower family values and to share that with others in life.
Bula Bosco is celebrated each year under the direction of the young Salesians (SDB) studying in Fiji.
Salesians in Fiji are building a multipurpose educational centre and a rugby field to provide many activities for all young people, and for liturgical services on weekends. They are looking forward to celebrating 2019 Bula Bosco in their own home ground.
