First and Final Professions
The feast of St John Bosco was celebrated in the Australia-Pacific Province with two First and two Final Professions, one of each in Melbourne, Australia and in Suva, Fiji Islands.
Brother Barry Parker made his Final Profession in Melbourne to the Provincial, Fr Greg Chambers whilst Cleric Nuku Lefai made his Final Profession in Suva to the Vice Provincial, Fr Bernie Graham. Both had undertaken their Novitiate together in Suva during 2009.
Meanwhile, Jeffery Miller made his First Profession to Fr Greg Chambers and Sesario Tila Vosarogoci made his to Fr Bernie Graham. Both newly professed had just completed their novitiate in Suva under the direction of Fr Taisali Leuluai. Br Sesa Vosarogoci is the first Fijian to profess his vows in the Salesian Congregation.
Five other confreres in the Province also renewed their temporary profession at this time, two in Samoa and three in Fiji.
On February 1 the 2015 novitiate commenced in Suva with the admission of five candidates, four from Samoa, Falefa Elia, Sanele Faapue, Leiofi Sueina and Esau Tuala, and, Tristan O’Brien from Australia.
