The health of the Rector Major

This morning, July 14 2000, Fr Gianni Mazzali and myself met with Professor Dr. M. Scerrati in the hospital room of Fr. Vecchi.

The professor told us officially this: "The Rector Major underwent a serious operation in which they removed a tumor from the brain. He will need first of all two weeks of convalescence and a complete rest.

After that he will start radiotherapy for six weeks, to prevent a restarting of the disease. During this time he will not be able to carry out the programme he had previously established (travels, meetings etc.)". The Rector Major took part in the communication with great peace, and he interrupted the doctor several times, asking further explanations. Let's intensify our prayer, asking Artemide Zatti for the grace of his healing.
