Cebu Aspirantate planning goes for further Government
recognition
CEBU: 14th July 2008 -- The
Commission for Higher Education (CHED)
Regional Office VII, Central Visayas, Cebu City through its
director Dr. Enrique P. Grecia has already given Don Bosco
Formation Center (DBFC), in Lawaan, Talisay City, Cebu, a Government
Permit to open and
conduct
the 1st Year and 2nd Year of the four-year course in Bachelor of Arts
with
major in Religious Education and Pastoral Communication. The said
permit was given on July 4, 2008.
Aside from
this good news, CHED has also given it the blank form application for
Government Recognition. Because of DBFC's high rating of 92% during the
inspection conducted last June 18, 2008 by Rev. Fr. Ramon E.
Echica, Dean of Studies of the Seminario Mayor de San Carlos and Rev.
Fr. Domingo P. Delos Angeles, Professor of the San Carlos Seminary
College, Mabolo, Cebu City, the Commission is giving the new college
the
privilege to apply next academic year for such recognition.
However approval is dependent on the recommendations
forwarded by the assessors namely: 1. to have a well-furbished library,
and 2. to set up a media center and AVR.
These
developments are, indeed, very positive in relation to the College
Aspirantate Program of DBFC.
