JAKARTA: 17 July 2010 -- As ITM prepares itself for the handing
over ceremonies for the new superior, Fr Joao Aparicio, today 17 July
in Dili, the bursars of the 4 Indonesian communities have finished a 4
day seminar (July 13-16) in Sunter, Jakarta. With the help of other
resource persons, Fr. Yohannes Budi Soerjonoto SDB presented a
comprehensive understanding of standard accounting and book keeping
principles that are required for the unified reports that are usually
made by each house and eventually forwarded to the Generalate in Rome.
Much time was also given to actual practice and case studies related to
the situation of Indonesia.
Although the Generalate is using a specialized
software (RECOM) for Salesian use, ITM is using the MS Money which has
been customized to serve the requirements of the General Economer in
della Pisana.
The other inputs touched on Salesian Spirituality
and the peculiar way of practicing poverty in the Salesian Communities.
The Rectors of the houses were also invited to join on the last day in
order to have a common understanding and practice in the houses. _________________ AustraLasia is an
