JUST HOW DON BOSCO WOULD HAVE WANTED IT!

Christmas with 1000 kids

CALCUTTA: 25th December -- (extract from an email):I'm sure you are getting

ready for a colourful celebration of Christmas over there. I visit your web

site quite often. I find it very useful. Congratulations.

Here we began our celebration on 22nd beginning with the celebration for the

BOSCO staff and volunteers. Yesterday we had it here and in another centre

separately. Today a charity show is being conducted by one of the cultural

troups in the name of BOSCO. We are going for that in the evening. And

tonight the midnight Mass and celebrations.

And on 25th we have the Christmas for all the boys from the street. We are

expecting at least 1000 children from the street. The function will be in

BOSCO Mane, one of our centres, where they all will be given meals and

Christmas gifts. Last few weeks we were all busy collecting money for the

celebrations on 25th.

All the celebrations will conclude with the Salesian staff Mass and

get-together in the evening on 25th. And then...... we will wait in hope for

a fruitful New Year!
