5243(III)_All are Called to Be Saints
November 04, 2019
Quetta, Pakistan: 1 November 2019 -- The monthly institutional Holy Mass for October was celebrated on the 1st of November to highlight the Solemnity of All Saints. The Junior section of Don Bosco Learning Center (grades 3,4 &5) was the sponsor for the liturgy and choir. The Bosconians dressed up as young saints and some as the saints of the young. Shaul Shamaun was the most outstanding, portraying Blessed Ceferino Namuncurá. Lay catechist Mrs. Ruby had done a marvelous job of make up of the saints with the help of Mrs. Magdalene.
Fr. Samuel Adnan Ghouri, SDB (Sami) presided at the solemn mass while Fr. Joel Jurao, SDB and Fr. Kashif Ghouri, OMI concelebrated. Fr. Sami highlighted the cheerfulness in holiness through anecdotes from the life of the saints. ‘Saints are saints because they are in the company of God. Holiness is our baptismal vocation. We are all different facets of saintliness.’ Don Bosco told his children a simple way to become saints by ‘doing their ordinary duties extraordinary well’.
The self-sacrificing act of Akash Bashir is a shining witness of holiness of his own kind.
